Good Fit
Opaque or contrast-friendly materials with stable edge conditions.
Sensor
ES201 is an infrared / visible-beam edge sensor for optical web edge detection in closed-loop web guiding systems. It uses coded-light sensing and is suitable for opaque or contrast-friendly web materials where optical edge feedback is stable.

Selection Notes
Opaque or contrast-friendly materials with stable edge conditions.
Transparent, highly reflective or unstable edge materials should be reviewed before selection. For transparent or low-contrast webs, ES100 ultrasonic sensing may be more suitable.
Use with a compatible web guiding controller, actuator and correction frame selected for the machine section.
Edge detection for nonwoven and hygiene material tracking applications.
Optical edge sensing for opaque films, paper and contrast-friendly roll materials.
Web edge feedback for converting lines where the material edge is optically detectable.
Edge feedback for unwind, infeed or rewind sections with stable web edge conditions.

Alternative ultrasonic sensor for transparent or low-contrast web materials.
