CCD03 is a high-recognition digital image sensor for difficult web guiding targets such as low-contrast edges, burr edges, uneven material thickness and laser film materials. It is used when standard optical or CCD sensing may not provide reliable recognition.

For simple edge detection, infrared or ultrasonic sensors may be more cost-effective. CCD03 is more suitable when recognition difficulty is the main problem.
